Buying dogs from pet shops The concern with buying a puppy for a pet shop is 'puppy farming' or 'puppy mills'. There is lots of info on the net about these. Due to this temperament and health can't be guaranteed due to the awful and inhuman ways they where bought in to this world. It is a very sad state of affairs. Basically, puppy purchased from pet shops keep puppy farms in business. With this said some pet shops to try to do the right thing, its just unfortunate that you can never be sure.
