male newfie has recently taking up weeing in a particular spot

My 4 y/o male newfie has recently taking up weeing in a particular spot inside. He has never done this before as I always left the back door open for him. Why has this started happening and what can I do to stop it.

It's the wee spot! It's just a cycle / habit. You're going to have to cover it up and kill the smell. Suggest a few drops of eucalyptus oil or similar? And then cover it up with everything you can, like pot plants, or rocks / boulders (ha ha!). When you notice your big boy walk past and ignore the wee spot, offer him a treat and cuddles straight away. So he associates ignoring the wee spot with glee.
