Male Boxer Constantly Licking Female German Shepherd

I have a 2 year old male intact boxer who in the past week or so has obsessively been licking my spayed female German Shepherd's hind quarters. It is the first thing he goes after when he gets removed from his crate and it is constant. He follows her around like giving her no space. I've given her a bath thinking she had a scent there, but that has not worked. Any ideas of why this is occurring just recently?

There are many little things that could be contributing. Age, the season, your lovely lady producing some nice smells, even a diet change etc. It might pass in a few days, although I would recommend giving your vet a call for thier opinion. Lots of grey area here, definatly something to keep a eye on. Sorry to not be much help!
