Diet for minature poodles
Hi Bec, I have two minature Poodles ,one is 9yrs old , is a finicky eater, the other we have had for only 3weeks ,he is 13mths old.I have been giving them Advance pedigree biscuits along with ( Hopefully ) a good canned food , such as My Dog , or pedigree champions..Sometimes a couple of chicken necks & a bit of raw meat, maybe a pet loaf from a pet shop. I also make their doggie treats with whole meal flour, grated carrots ,cheese, oil ,abit of garlic & Liver sprinkles...My reason for asking is ,I saw on the net a topic on...Killing your Dog with commercial food.... Eerrrrkkkk.. ??? Can you help ..kind regards Mary..

Answer: Diet for min poodles
Hi Mary. You have two very lucky puppy dogs! I think they have a fantastic diet! Almost perfect. Some cheaper canned foods (I wont mention brands!) leave a lot to be desired. And are basically a waste of time. You can tell how healthy your pooch's are by looking at thier poo's. They should be firm, and even in colour, and not very smelly. If they are very stinky, runny, odd coloured you may suspect they diet needs some addressing. As far as I am concerend your poodles have a great balanced diet. P.S. Add some fresh parsley to your treats and it will act as a breath freshner!
