'Play biting staffy with small kids?
We have just bought a six week old staffy and we all love him dearly already. The main problem is him 'play' biting our little girl who is two. We are worried that he is dominating her and this will lead to problems later. What can we do to break this habit?

I wouldn?t call it dominating, more so he may see your little girl as a equal or play mate. Now, forgive me for sounding a bit out of my league (I don?t have kids!) is it possible to teach a two year old basic dog commands? I think it would be a great exercise for yourself, pup and daughter ? if you can all learn together basic dog training techniques, sit, stay, come ? and as pup and your daughter grow together, hopefully with in time she may become comfortable in ?handling? your pup rather than just being a little playmate. It?s important for your dog to realise his rank in the family, and he should technically be taking commands / directions from your daughter, as he is the bottom of the pack.
