Maltese seems angry after being left for 10 days

My 2 year old maltese seems very different after we have returned from our 10 day holiday. He stayed with my mother and her dog who he loves. Yet since we have bbrought him home he is aloof & seems depressed. Tonight I played a game with hime and he got a little viscious, more than I have ever seen from him. Thank you

It's not abnormal for a dog to display some signs sadness when you return from a holiday. Generally it may last a few days. I would suggest that you give him some space for a few days to allow him to re-adjust. He may just be over sensitive, and finding it difficult to from one environment to the other. If he doesn't show improvement, get him checked out by the vet. He may be ill.
