I'm moving out of my family home in October

Hi Bec Can you please help? I'm moving out of my family home in October and i have two dogs: Tasha 12years old & Isabella 1 year old. They both sleep in my bedroom at night. In the new house my partner doesn't want the dogs in the bedroom i tried putting them in the laundry but the little one cried the whole night what is the best way to get them used to not sleeping with me? and getting them used to the new

Answer: When you put them in the laundry and night, make it as low fuss as possible. No cuddles, excess attention ect - just pop them in there, close the door and off you go. Don't respond to the cries, even though it is hard. If you do comfort her, it only affirms her cries for attention. Lastly, you could put a radio in the laundry along with some old tops or jumpers that you have worn (un- washed) so they can smell you. This process just takes lots of patience.
