help please i have an australian silky who wont stop itching. he gets bathed weekly and i use advantix on him. he has no fleas but is always scratching. its driving us crazy.

First of all, I wouldn't be bathing your little man weekly. That will be stripping the coat from natural oils and making the situation worse. Bath once a fortnight at the most. There are so many environmental factors that could be causing this. It could also just be a nervous thing. Go through all his bedding and wash it, start him on a very bland diet (boiled chook and rice?), and slowly re-introduce everything. Hopefully this way you may be able to pinpoint something that makes it worse. Check the back yard for any weeds or plants that may be causing the itch. If this doesn't help, see the vet for blood tests.
