This feedback has been provided from visitors about scams on the internet. When buying or selling a dog on the internet from any noticeboard site (where anyone can post a message) you need to be aware of the tricks that some fraudsters will try. See also updated dog scam page 2009/ 2010

I have recently had an incounter with a person from Cameroon aswell only this time I was told that I could buy two Purebred British Bulldog pups with papers and registered with AKA and vac I was told that the dogs did not need quarantine as they were from here mind you the cost of Aus quarantine is around $1000 per a months stay I was also told that it is only 5hrs travel from there to here. I could have both pups for $600.00 can you believe this person? You would be lucky to get a flight from Melbourne to Queensland for a dog for that! I would love to know where they get their pics from these pups are cute. I was also told that they are hooked up with a church and that I would have to put the money in a Western Union Account Into a father or pasters account not theres ( non Traceable) and for me to give all my details so they can register the pups for shipping so I suggested they send the pups COD and was told and were am I suppose to get the money to register the pups my response was Well how did you afford this bred of dog in the first place? Hopefully the information I have given to a friend of a friend will fix this scammer once and for all he he!

I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR A YORKSHIRE TERRIOR ONLINE, I E-MAILED A BREEDER WHO REPLIED AND SAID SHE HAD JUST SOLD HER LAST ONE, BUT SHE HAD A CALL FROM A PERSON SHE HAD SOLD 2 YORKIES TO A FEW MONTHS AGO WHO GOT TRANSFERED TO NIGERIA AS A MISSIONARY AND NEEDED TO SELL THEM. SHE EVEN HAD HIS E-MAIL LINK ON HER REPLY.
HE REPLIED AND HAD HORRIBLE GRAMMER. HE ASKED ALOT ABOUT MONEY AND JUST ALOT OF SUSPISIOUS THINGS. HE NEVER ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS AND NEVER GAVE ME HIS PHONE NUMBER. THEN I REPLIED TO ANOTHER ADD AND COME TO FIND OUT SHE IS DOING MISSIONARY WORK IN CAMAROON AFRICA. THEY BOTH WERE SELLING FEMALE YORKIES FOR $600 LESS THAN EVERYONE ELSE.
I GUESS IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS.

Hello,
My name is Mr. Ben cowell Jnr. I am a british national. I am an engineer
by profession and i work with irish engineering company, a company that is
specialise in oil and gas. My company won a contract in west africa to build an oil
storage tank and some other oil pipelines that will last for about 18 to 24 monts,
so two month ago i was among those that were choosed to go and execute the
project. So, i came down to west africa precisely two month ago to execute the
project.
When i was in manchester,i have four lovely puppies which i love each one of
them as my own child. Those puppies are my second family after my wife and my
beautiful dauther, Linda. Unfurtunately, as faith will have it, when my family and i
came down to west africa two month ago, i discovered that the puppies were
struggling to survive the environment and besides, i don't have a large compound
here in west africa to accomodate the four of them compare to my compound in
manchester.
I was trying my best to make them adapt to the environment by going extra
mile in providing a more better specialized vetenarian doctor for them but all my
effort on them proved abortive when i lost one of them to the cold harm of death.
For days i wasn't myself, cause it is just like loosing a child. I hope you
understand how i feel. so, it was when i lost one that i now decided that instead of
loosing another one to death just because of change of environment, i had better
give two out to someone whom i believe will take good care of them. Actually, it
was a difficult decision to make, it was like giving one's daugther in hand in
marraige to another man but i summon up corrage to stand on that decision
cause i believe it is better than loosing them to death. So last week i went on the
internet to search for someone who want to buy a puppy and whose description
match one of my own puppies.
Furtunately, i found your search matching one of my puppies and that is why i
am contacting you now through your e-mail that i found on net.
When i found out that your search match one of my puppies, i have decided to
