Malmute x German Shepard dog - What is he trying to tell me?

I have a 2 year old Malmute x German Shepard dog (desexed)he is very playful and a great companion.Often while playing with his toys or while I am just relaxing he will come to me and turn his rear end towards me and look back at me.Can you give me any advise on what this behaviour indicates.

Tee hee hee. A lot of my dogs do this to me, or (if I am sitting on the ground) they will just come and sit on my lap. In most cases, as you say, it is during a good game or play. I take it as a sign of affection, love, trust, and some times a invitation to play. My Jimbo loves to shove is bottom in to his buddys and it generally results as a good game of chase.
