uncontrollable barking, chasing anything that moves
I have two border collie labrador cross brother and sister. We have had them since they were puppies, are desexed. While on the lead they behave wonderfully but during the day they have started a game chasing anything or anyone going past our corner block. When we are outside with them we can call them back, and control them but as soon as we let them go its like unfinished business and they continue on chasing and barking even when the person, dogs or car are nearly out of sight. Will a citronella collar help? ANy suggestions would be great we need to control this before people start to complain and i am worried that the dogs may actually bite in a particular circumstance. I must say though if anyone comes into the yard the dogs love them to death.

Answer: uncontrollable barking, chasing anything that moves
Think his may just be a case of working dog living in suburbia! They are displaying typical behaviour of a working dog that is feeling a little confined. I would definatly suggest finding a good dog walker to totally exhaust them mentally and physically during the day. Is there more stimulation you can provide them with? E.g. some dry dog food / treats in a fizzy drink bottle punch with holes, educational toys etc. Just remember they need thier mind to be excersised more so than just thier bodies.
